Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other medications. It is also used to cure nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other situations as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Use Reglan as prescribed by your doctor. Take Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Don't stop taking Reglan without checking with your physician.
More Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These effects can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Reglan with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, consult with your doctor. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been suggested. Do not use less or more or use it more often than suggested by your doctor.
