Drug Uses
Verapamil is used for treatment of supraventricular tachycardia, a rhythm disturbance of the heart. It is also used for controlling heart rate response to other rhythm disturbances, specifically atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. It can also be used for other conditions as determined by your physician.

Use Verapamil as suggested by your doctor.

Verapamil can cause dizziness. These effects can worsen if Verapamil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Verapamil with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly negative tasks until you know how you respond to this pill. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. This medicine should be used only by the patient for whom it has been directed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
